La Confluence SRL

Context

Thierry Bachez, managing partner of the Brasserie de la Confluence in Namur, faced a common challenge in the hospitality sector: staff shortages and the need to optimize daily operations without compromising service quality..

To address this, a customized ERP solution was implemented to digitize and streamline part of the ordering process.

Role of the Customized ERP

The Customized ERP served as the operational backbone of the project. Rather than simply digitizing the menu, the system was designed to connect all operational flows in real time..

It enabled the restaurant to :

  • Centralize menu and order management
  • Synchronize communication between service areas and the kitchen
  • Reduce manual work and unnecessary staff movement
  • Gain real-time operational visibility

All features were tailored specifically to the restaurant’s workflows, ensuring ease of use and efficiency.

Solution

A QR code menu system powered by a customized ERP was developed. Menu items are managed through a centralized database and sent directly to printers and the kitchen, improving speed and accuracy..

UX & design approach (brief)

The interface was intentionally simple and functional, designed to support the ERP’s performance without adding visual complexity.

Results

  • Around 3 minutes saved per terrace order
  • Over 40 daily tickets processed
  • Reduced errors and operational friction
  • Improved staff efficiency and customer experience

The Customized ERP transformed daily operations into a smoother, more controlled workflow..

An ERP built for real-life operations

The customized ERP was designed based on the daily realities of the restaurant. Every step — from order placement to kitchen printing — was analyzed to eliminate unnecessary actions and reduce errors. This practical approach resulted in a tool that fits naturally into staff workflows and supports efficiency during service.

Centralized control and operational flexibility

With the customized ERP, all data is managed through a single centralized system. Menu updates, price changes, or product availability can be adjusted instantly without disrupting operations. This flexibility gives managers full control, even during peak service hours.

A scalable foundation for future growth

The ERP was also built with scalability in mind. Its architecture allows for future integrations such as performance analytics, stock management, or cost optimization tools. This ensures the restaurant has a long-term digital foundation that can evolve alongside its business needs.
